So many of are taking this issue lightly without really looking at the bigger picture. Ray Rice is more than just an athlete. He is an abuser and his wife is a victim. This situation does not need to be glorified or overlooked. This is a teaching moment for us as a nation and for those of us with kids. We have to teach our daughters that love is not pain, physical or verbal abuse. I suggest we all know the warning signs because there is a Janay in us or in our families. As a former victim of domestic violence I want to bring more awareness about domestic violence. An advocate for breaking the silence.
